A Leap into KW Commercial Yields a Life Worth Living

Ken Wimberly, KW Commercial associate in the Arlington (Texas) market center, has been in the commercial real estate industry since 2002. Five years ago, Ken was approached about joining KW Commercial. At first, he was skeptical about joining a company that was deeply rooted in residential real estate. However, after seeing the systems and models as well as the great culture at Keller Williams, he decided to make the move. Today, Ken says it was the best decision of his career. When recruits ask Ken why they should join KW Commercial, he tells them, “Just look at my results. I would not be as successful as I am today if I did not join KW Commercial.”
In August 2012, Ken had a small team of five that included three agents new to the business. The team finished 2011 with total sales volume of just above $7 million. In 2012, he narrowed the focus of his business to one specific product type and focused on lead generation. Ken added another agent and grew business to over $22 million in volume. In 2013, he really started to refine the business systems and processes. As Ken’s business continued to grow, he added six team members and moved to a larger office to accommodate his expanding team. Ken finished out the year with just over $29 million in sales volume.  Even though he was on a roll, Ken began 2014 with even more training and systems refinement. He wanted a well-oiled machine that could handle the increased volume. Ken is on track to exceed his goal of $100 million in sales volume for 2014!

Equally impressive, Ken is the first KW Commercial associate to join Keller Williams Mega Expansion program.  He anticipates he will be in seven market centers by the end of 2015. Ken’s possibilities are endless.
KW Commercial Associate Ken WimberlySo, what was it that sparked Ken’s commitment to grow his business from $7 million to $100 million in sales volume in three years? “Back in the summer of 2012, I had a realization that I needed significant change in my life. I needed to act with purposeful intensity, rather than simply ‘winging it’ and hoping things would work out. This realization came from a multitude of reasons including poor financial and personal health,” Ken said. He identified the ONE Thing he needed to do in three key areas of his life that would yield him significant success. In doing so, he’s built an incredible LIFE WORTH LIVING!
What Ken has learned through his journey of business, finance, and fitness is that anything is possible. One of his favorite quotes is by Pablo Picasso: “Action is the foundational key to all success!”  So go forth, and take action! What are your plans for success in 2015?
